About VIGILO
The compliance layer between the statute and the survey
VIGILO is a healthcare compliance, training, and consulting firm with a single focus: helping licensed healthcare facilities build, document, and maintain survey-defensible workplace violence prevention programs. We are Texas-first, headquartered to serve the Houston metro, with a national view of an accelerating regulatory landscape.
We are not a security-guard, patrol, or investigations company. We are the compliance and documentation layer that turns a body of regulation — Texas HSC Chapter 331, 26 TAC §133.55, PL 2024-10, the Joint Commission, and OSHA — into a program your surveyor can review and your governing body can sign off on.
Our mission
Survey-defensible and sustainable
To make workplace violence prevention survey-defensible and sustainable for the healthcare facilities that protect Texas communities — through clear documentation, credentialed expertise, and primary-source accuracy. We support compliance and preparedness; we do not promise to prevent violence.
Why we exist
Two halves of an answer
When Texas enacted SB 240, the market responded with law firms that explain the statute and training vendors that sell a class. Neither builds the thing a surveyor actually opens — the documented, facility-specific program of record that ties committee, plan, training, reporting, and annual evaluation into one defensible file. VIGILO exists to do that work, at a boutique flat-fee price community facilities can actually use.
Built on three commitments
Our approach
Surveyor-fluent
Every work product is organized around what surveyors ask, review, and require. We write your documentation to answer the question before it is asked.
Primary-source accurate
Every compliance claim we make is tied to the statute, rule, standard, or guidance it comes from. This is an authority practice — correctness is the product.
Flat-fee and transparent
Our engagements are priced as flat fees and annual subscriptions, never per-incident, per-patient, or percentage-based.
Credentials, not personalities
Our team
We describe our team by role and credential, because authority in this field is built on expertise and primary sources — not personalities.
- Compliance leadership: a physician executive and healthcare compliance leader (MD, MHA) who has operated inside the clinical and administrative environments our clients live in.
- Training advisory: a veteran Texas peace officer and certified de-escalation instructor, advising on threat-response and de-escalation curriculum grounded in real-world experience.
- Standards alignment: our methods draw on recognized healthcare safety and security bodies of knowledge, including IAHSS and CHPA frameworks.
Scope, stated plainly
What we are — and what we are not

|---|---|
| A healthcare compliance, training & consulting firm | A security-guard or patrol company |
| Builders of survey-defensible documentation | An armed or investigations service |
| Mappers of Texas, TJC & OSHA into one program | A generic national training catalog |
| A boutique flat-fee partner | An enterprise-priced engineering firm |
VIGILO provides compliance, training, and consulting assistance and supports survey-readiness and preparedness. We do not provide security staffing and do not guarantee safety outcomes or the prevention of violent incidents.
